Hoyas on the Hill: A Conversation About Diversity & Inclusion in Congress
Hoyas, come join members of the House Committee on Diversity & Inclusion, and fellow Hoya Graduates, to learn more about diversity and inclusion in Congress. This session will review ways that the House Committee on Diversity & Inclusion can help diverse and first-time applicants to Congress prepare their application packages for successful applications to various groups on Capitol Hill.
The House of Representatives is committed to creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce. In one of the first acts of the 116th Congress, the House established the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. This office is charged with submitting to Congress a diversity plan to direct and guide House employing offices to recruit, hire, train, develop, advance, promote, and retain a diverse workforce.
