“Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research—A Shared Biomedical National Resource”
The Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR) is a shared national resource for advancing the scientific understanding of disease and the application of that knowledge to new diagnostic tests and precision medicines, with a particular focus on cancer, AIDS, and emerging infectious diseases, including COVID-19. FNLCR provides substantial research, development and operational support to the NCI and other Institutes within the NIH, such as NIAID. We also carry our collaborative research and develop new tools and capabilities with and for the broader scientific community; we value our academic partnerships and collaborations. This seminar will provide an overview of the research taking place at FNLCR, with an emphasis on national lab programs that are carried out with and available to the academic extramural community.
