Ethical Border Security Discussion Group
Join the Migration and Refugee Policy Initiative and the Center for Security Studies for an in-depth exploration of Ethical Border Security. In the modern age, states are met with the challenge of enforcing immigration laws and maintaining their borders while also abiding by international asylum law and respecting the lives and liberties of those crossing the border. During this informal student-led discussion group, we will explore the importance of border security in maintaining the legitimacy and safety of a nation and the need to protect the rights of refugees and as well as the rights of all human beings.
This event is open to students, faculty/staff, and Georgetown alumni, but is not open to the public. An RSVP is required to attend. To request accommodations due to a disability or medical condition, contact sspmediafellow@georgetown.edu no later than Friday, May 7.
