Election 2020: What Might Happen
On Monday, October 19 at 5:30 PM (EDT), the Georgetown Institute of Politics and Public Service will be joined by political analysts and data experts for a conversation about possible outcomes for the 2020 election.
Josh Mendelsohn of Hawkfish, Scott Tranter of 0ptimus Analytics, and Jessica Taylor of The Cook Political Report will outline possible scenarios for election results, from the presidential race to congressional races and statehouses across the country. Drawing from what they’re seeing in their data and analysis, they will discuss how Democrats and Republicans might fare this election cycle– which seats could flip, what could stay in place, what could be too close to call, and the possible situations Americans may wake up to on November 4.
This conversation will be moderated by GU Politics Executive Director Mo Elleithee and will be live-streamed across GU Politics’ social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube). Members of the Georgetown community should RSVP to receive a Zoom link.
