Cooking Demonstration: Heart-Shaped Puff Pastry & Cenci
Prepare for Valentine’s Day and celebrate Carnevale with us!
Together with Villa Le Balze cook, Eleonora Ginestrini, we will be demonstrating how to make heart shaped millefoglie (puff pastry) just in time for Valentine’s day.
And then we will help you get into the carnival spirit with the classic Italian treat: Cenci (as they are known in Florence). Cenci are fried strips of dough that are a traditional carnival sweet found throughout Italy. These crispy and delicate indulgences are also called frappe, chiacchiere and bugie depending on where in Italy you find yourself.
This free event will be hosted on Zoom. Registration is required.
Accommodation requests related to a disability should be indicated in your registration. A good-faith effort will be made to fulfill requests.
All events in the series are in support of Villa Le Balze. Giving to the Villa Le Balze legacy will make a lasting impact on the lives of students, faculty, alumni, and many others who use the Villa as a space for transformative educational and scholarly activities.
