Beyond Basic PubMed from DML
This is the second workshop in this series. It is strongly recommended that you have taken PubMed Basics before attending this workshop.
Dahlgren Memorial Library’s Beyond Basic PubMed workshop builds on the searching techniques learned in PubMed Basics. Learn advanced techniques and broaden your searching capabilities in PubMed. This workshop extends knowledge taught in the PubMed Basics workshop.
First, we’ll orient you to PubMed’s new design and functionality and do a quick review of PubMed best searching practices. Then, we will show you how to use advanced searching techniques like author searching, journal searching, clinical queries, and topic specific queries. We will also touch on setting up a My NCBI account and exporting search results to citation management programs like RefWorks.

All Georgetown students, faculty, and staff are welcome. Registration and participation require a georgetown.edu, gunet.georgetown.edu or medstar.net email address.
