Sustainability

- 1,140 tons: The amount of waste recycled each year, about 30 percent of the total waste
The Georgetown University Bookstore sold:
- Over 41,178 used textbooks, saving students $425,461
- For every 10 textbooks sold we sell 3 used ones
- 138,000 articles of clothing and 101,000 gift items, all sporting the Georgetown logo
Lauinger Library:
- 352,344 items checked out
- 866,913 visited the library
- 1,843,962 searches of the online catalog
- 2,071,145 visits to the library web site
Faith and Service:
- 565 went on a retreat
- 2,485 trips were taken in Center for Social Justice vans
- 94,238 miles were traveled by Center for Social Justice vans
- 188 students volunteered for the DC Public Schools project
- More than 600 Georgetown undergraduates provided service in the D.C. public schools
Campus Life
- Almost 600 students involved in club sport activities this year.
- Approximately 575 events sponsored by student organizations
- Over 1000 students, faculty, staff and members of the general public went on 100 Outdoor Education trips throughout the District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Florida.
- Outdoor Education also ran International trips to: Fiji, Nicaragua, Greece, and Egypt
