Faculty, Students Present at USA Science & Engineering Festival

Associate professor of biology Heidi Elmendorf, other faculty members and Georgetown students participated in the 2012 USA Science & Engineering Festival in Washington, D.C., this past April. This year Georgetown's booth was titled "Science in Everyday Life" and explained the difference between healthy and unhealthy fat, the physical changes that occur when someone is in love and whether or not there's such a thing as a "safe" tan, among other questions. More than 150,000 participated in the festival, including students of all ages and their parents, teachers, military families, government officials and more.
