Sec. Duncan Speaks to Mom Congress Delegates
When it comes to education, the nation's budget should reflect the principles of its people, U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan said during an April 12 address at Georgetown.
"These are horrendous budget times, but [our budget decisions] reflect our values," Duncan explained at the April 10-13 Mom Congress on Education and Learning, sponsored by Parenting magazine.
Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies (SCS) is the educational provider for members of the Mom Congress, which comprises hundreds of education advocates across the nation.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and MyI underwrote the 2011 Mom Congress.
