Engaged in a Lab, Students Become Scientists

Biology professor Heidi Elmendorf says learning to be a scientist takes much more than just reading textbooks. In real life, she says, science is messy and findings are often contradictory. Elmendorf challenges students in her lab so they are ready to answer complex scientific questions.
