August 30, 2011 – New Student Orientation (NSO) Weekend continued with a few amendments to its scheduled activities despite the inclement weather conditions brought on by Tropical Storm Irene.
NSO Weekend, originally slated for Aug. 27-30, began a day early to allow students to move in before weather conditions deteriorated. Most of Saturday's activities went on as planned, but Sunday's NSO Convocation was moved to Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. in McDonough Arena.
With the storm not as strong as predicted, the university community was able to properly greet and celebrate the Class of 2015.
