Georgetown University and the Washington D.C. community gathered at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Jan. 17, 2011, for the ninth annual Martin Luther King, Jr. "Let Freedom Ring" celebration.
The evening's highlights included performances by Grammy Award winner Patti LaBelle and the Freedom Ring Celebration Choir and the presentation of the John Thompson, Jr. Legacy of a Dream Award to Rev. Joseph E. Lowery.
