Oct. 20, 2011 – More than 30 faculty and staff members and students participated in the university's first GUWellness 5K Run and Walk Thursday afternoon.
Both longtime runners, 5K novices and walkers took to the race course, which started at Yates Field House and looped around parts of campus twice.
The race was a precursor to the American Heart Association's Greater Washington Heart Walk on Nov. 5. Members of the Georgetown community are encouraged to participate as the university competes with area university's for the College Cup. To register for the Heart Walk, visit GUWellness.
