Faculty experts include:
Matthew Winkler is the associate dean of the MPS Sports Industry Management Program in the School of Continuing Studies. He has over 15 years of experience in the Olympics, NCAA, NHL, WNBA, MLS and the World Cup. He served as media operations coordinator for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He also served as media operations coordinator for World Cup in 1994, 1999 and 2003. Before coming to Georgetown in 2007, Winkler served as regional sales manager for the Lincoln Holdings franchises of the Washington Capitals (NHL) and Washington Mystics (WNBA). Winkler served as a panelist at the Beyond Sports Summit in London in the days before the 2012 Olympic Games.
