University Celebrates Georgetown Community Day

September 17, 2012 – Neighbors, friends of the university, students, faculty and alumni all gathered at Georgetown for the first Community Day of the year on Sept. 15. The day, sponsored by Georgetown athletics, included a tailgate party outside McDonough Gymnasium and free food, music, face-painting for kids and games for all ages. Georgetown’s football showdown with Yale followed the tailgate party at the university’s Multi-Sport Field. The Hoyas came up short against the visiting Bulldogs, losing 24-21 in front of a sellout crowd.
