The Wire and Treme Producer Speaks at Georgetown

October 10, 2012 – George Pelecanos was a guest speaker at an event last night sponsored by the English department's Lannan Center for Poetics and Social Justice. The author of 18 novels set in and around Washington, D.C., Pelecanos is also an award-winning essayist who has written for The New York Times, The Washington Post and numerous other publications. He served as producer, writer, and story editor for the acclaimed HBO dramatic series, The Wire, and now works as an executive producer and writer for David Simon’s HBO dramatic series Treme.
