Georgetown Shows Appreciation for Its Administrative Professionals
May 7, 2013 – Georgetown celebrated Administrative Professionals Day with its annual breakfast in honor of the nearly 400 administrative professionals working at the university on April 24 in Copley Formal Lounge.
The Department of Human Resources sponsored the breakfast with the theme "Honoring the Office Professionals Who Make Offices Work."
"The annual breakfast is an opportunity for the university to recognize the contributions of our dedicated administrative professional community at Georgetown," says Mary Anne Mahin, vice president and chief human resources officer at Georgetown. "Their contributions are critical to our ability to serve our students and our community."
Richard Ayres of the Center for Labor/Management Studies in Fredericksburg, Va., addressed the breakfast attendees, and Tali Si Malcott, president of Georgetown University chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, also delivered remarks.
