May 1, 2014 – One current and one – former U.S. cabinet secretary are among those scheduled to speak at the university’s 2014 Commencement May 15-18.

Georgetown holds individual graduation ceremonies for each undergraduate and professional school as well as award celebrations on campus, beginning with Senior Convocation and the McCourt School of Public Policy commencement ceremony on May 15.

“This year’s Commencement speakers share a wealth of expertise and insight with our graduates in fields ranging from astronomy to finance, design to public service, health care to philosophy,” says Georgetown President John J. DeGioia. “The extraordinary depth and breadth of their experience will serve as a great source of both inspiration and reflection for our students as they embark on their own paths of professional, academic, and personal achievement.”

Students, family, faculty, alumni and friends can follow commencement activities online, including live webcasts. Information about how to share memories, pictures and words of wisdom with the class of 2014 can be viewed at http://www.georgetown.edu/hoyas2014.
