Appointment to IPIX

The Interdisciplinary Program in Cognitive Science (IPIX) in the College is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Karl Pribram as Distinguished Research Professor in Cognitive Neuroscience in the Program.  Professor Pribram is a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences, and the recipient of numerous awards, both here and abroad.  He is also the founder and director of the Institute for Brain Research and Informational Sciences at Radford University, as well as the James P. and Anna King Distinguished Professor and Eminent Scholar, Commonwealth of Virginia, and Distinguished Emeritus Professor of Neuroscience at Stanford University.

This Spring, he will be teaching a seminar on Brain and Communication, ICOS 351, which is open to all students.  The syllabus is to be found on Prof. George L. Farre's Web page, of the philosophy department, or alternatively, on the Web page for interdisciplinary programs on the College's Web page.
