Heidegger: Early Writings

Philosophy 382

Professor William Blattner

What is living and what is dead in the philosophy of Being and Time?

With apologies to Croce, we will ask "What is living and what is dead in the philosophy of Being and Time?" Please come prepared with two observations (at least),

  1. one about an important, positive, and lasting contribution to philosophy made by B&T, and
  2. one about a significant failure, oversight, or error in B&T.

Have them written down (long-hand on a sheet of paper is fine – I won't collect them), to facilitate discussion.
