Tavis Smiley and Cornel West to Speak at Georgetown

WHAT:
Georgetown University’s 2012 Michael Jurist (SFS '07) Memorial Lecture features Cornel West, the class of 1943 University Professor at Princeton University, and talk show host and author Tavis Smiley.
 
In their new, game-changing book, The Rich and the Rest of Us: A Poverty Manifesto (Hay House, Inc., 2012), Smiley and West challenge Americans to reexamine their assumptions about poverty in America.
The lecture will be webcast live at webcast.georgetown.edu and will include a question-and-answer session with the audience, followed by book-signing.
