Georgetown Hosts Official Delegation of Egypt's Freedom & Justice Party (FJP)

The discussion will be moderated by John L. Esposito, professor and founding director of the Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University.
WHAT: The Freedom and Justice Party recently won 47% of the seats in Egypt's parliamentary elections, cementing the Islamist party’s position as one of the most powerful forces to emerge in post-Mubarak Egypt. The discussion, hosted by the Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, will focus on their political platform, their vision for the new Egypt and prospects for the country’s upcoming presidential elections.
