| WHAT: | Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia, and Andrea Weckerle, founder of CiviliNation, a nonprofit devoted to fostering an online culture that promotes cybercivility and minimizes online hostility, harassment and attacks across online platforms, will speak about the need for civil digital discourse.
Wales, who is a board member of CiviliNation, and Weckerle will discuss the severity of online hostility, its emotional, physical and reputational effects on victims, and why a true expression of freedom of speech requires the creation of a healthy online environment. |
