Georgetown Hosts Panel Discussion on International Ban on Landmines

Georgetown will sponsor a panel discussion on the United States and the International Ban on Landmines. As the U.S. landmine policy review by the Obama Administration enters its second year, this panel of experts will discuss their mission to convince the United States to relinquish antipersonnel landmines and accede to the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty. Ken Rutherford will discuss his new book, Disarming States: The International Movement to Ban Landmines. A book signing will take place after the panel discussion. |
