Georgetown offers a comprehensive range of campus student services. Following the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis, or care of the whole person, we endeavor to meet students’ academic and spiritual needs while also addressing their mental and physical well-being.
Georgetown University has three bookstores – the Main Campus bookstore in the Leavey Center, the Medical Center bookstore in the Preclinical Science Building and the Law Center bookstore in McDonough Hall. Besides textbooks and school supplies, items available include Georgetown gear and Apple notebook computers offered at a discount through the Apple Educational Discount program. Center for Counseling and Psychiatric Service (CAPS)
At CAPS, trained professionals help students deal with mental health issues, including depression and anxiety and other issues common among college students. The office is open five days a week, with a 24-hour emergency hotline. Learn more.

The Georgetown University Career Education Center provides advice and resources to help undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni who graduated less than three years ago identify suitable career opportunities, jobs and internships. Health Education Services
Georgetown health professionals help students deal with health and wellness issues, including pregnancy, alcohol and drug abuse, the problems dealt with by adult children of alcoholics, nutrition, eating disorders, sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking and general health and wellness. John Main Center for Meditation and Interreligious Dialogue
The John Main Center for Meditation and Interreligious Dialogue is an ecumenical center of silence and reflection dedicated to the teaching and practice of meditation. People of all faiths are welcome at daily meditation sessions at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Learn more.

Office of Campus Ministry
The Office of Campus Ministry offers regular Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim and Orthodox Christian services on campus. It also sponsors several retreats in these traditions and a nonreligious overnight retreat for first-year and transfer students called ESCAPE. Learn more.

The Office of Mission and Ministry maintains and promotes Georgetown’s Catholic and Jesuit identity through programs and initiatives that educate students, faculty, staff, alumni and other university community members about our religious identity and commitments. Learn more.
Office of Student Financial Services
Georgetown’s commitment to “need-blind” admissions means that an applicant’s ability to meet college costs is not a requirement for admission. Once students are accepted, we award them financial aid on the basis of demonstrated need.
